Work Ethics

What Is Work Ethic According To God’s Word

Hard Work Will Lead To Success

So many of us want to be successful in life. Really who doesn’t want to? All of us  dream of having plenty, yet not all are willing to put all the necessary efforts to get the tasks done.  Then people complain when they don’t have what they need or want.  To make matters worse some blame others for not having the things like the others have.  What a shame. It shouldn’t have to be that way. Everyone who is willing to work hard can be successful.

There is a quote I read sometime ago that says: “The only disability that a person can have is a bad attitude.” This is so true! I could have use all the excuses I had to  not be successful.  But I refused to have any excuses because that is not my attitude.

What is work ethics? It is the principle that hard work is intrinsically virtuous or worthy of reward.

People with good work ethic have the ability to stay focused on tasks for as long as necessary to get them done.  Focus is equally as important as persistence when it comes to work ethic.  Focusing will allow you to finish tasks more efficiently while avoiding distractions.

Work ethic traits: appearance, attendance, attitude, character, communication, cooperation, organizational, skills, productivity, respect, teamwork. These are essentials for success.

I will be sharing more details for each of those work ethic traits above.

The opposite to having a good work ethic is the bad work ethic.  This is the kind of attitude which procrastinate to get the tasks done.  A person with this attitude will always have many excuses. Time and effort doesn’t mean anything to them.  Therefore will end up not having what they want and a lot of times even their needs. I must mention though that this doesn’t apply to all with bad work ethic, because there are some people who are living in luxury from scheming others of their wealth. Okay I will try not to get sidetracked here, for that is another story later on.

Let me just share this scripture in the Bible that talks about work. In the book of Proverbs 6:6-11 it says, “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest – and poverty will come on you like a  bandit and scarcity like an armed man.”

I’m sharing this topic with you because of my experience. If I had been lazy with my own life I know I would not be here writing my success.  I always have this attitude that when someone tells me I can’t do it, I always tell them to get out of my way and I will show you how to get it done! It’s not that I didn’t have any reasons that I could use as an excuse there were many, but that is not me. I have always challenge myself to not only be successful in life, but to be the best version of myself.

I hope you will find encouragement in my story here. This is a challenge for me still to continue the path of good work ethic and I hope you are too. Remember always that hard work plus diligence equals success!

Thanks for reading this and be blessed, inspired, encouraged and loved.

I am an ordained minister who is doing missionary work for over 15 years now. I was born in one of the island in the Philippines called Cebu. Growing up in a poor condition, I managed to overcome the hurdles of life with a positive attitude, grateful for everything and most of all by the grace of God. I have always challenge myself to do better with my life at a young age and pursue my dreams and ambitions in life by working hard and never complains about the hardships I went through. I have become successful in so many ways that I want to share my life's journey and how I can help you improve your life and reach your goals to a height of success. You can't imagine now how much you can really do if you just have a positive outlook of life and have the attitude of being grateful in every circumstance.
