How to experience miracles? Let’s dive into my part three real life story. This story is about how a little girl calls out to God for help and the answer came right away. I heard my husband say many times that he likes for the children to even pray as God really listens to them. When I was a child I never really thought about it, that God is actually listening closely to the plea of the little children. In fact the little and simple prayer of a child I believe goes straight to God for it is pure and full of faith. This is why even adults we should approach our God the Father with a pure and full of faith prayer like little children. Now of course looking back at my experiences and in this story, I want to share how God was listening to me closely as a child. When I was about nine years old I was not fortunate enough to be able to live an easy life. Both my parents had physical problems, especially my dad which limited his ability to work. Mom did her best to work hard and feed us, but it was still not enough. So I stepped in and worked as a small girl to be able to help my mother.
Pray Like Little Children
Being up in the mountain area, jobs were pretty much on the farm or raising livestock. We did not have our own farm or livestock so worked for those who had one. The place where we were located had many sugar cane farms, on the island of Cebu, Philippines. During this time the salary I received was twenty five pesos a day or the equivalent of fifty cents in U.S. dollars. It is almost nothing now, but it helped some several years ago. The weather in the Philippines is tropical which makes it really hot and humid a lot of times. It did not matter though because I had to work and had to face the intense heat during the day. It would not be too bad if you are physically well and have no health issues. My mother suffered a lot with kidney stones, and I was having migraines even at a young age. Working at the sugar cane farm was quite a challenge, because it was an intense labor. Usually the work would be planting, cultivating the soil, pulling weeds and harvesting. It was all done by bare hands. I did not have gloves on while working, because we could not afford to buy a pair. So my hands were full of blisters to begin with and then it just started forming calluses as I kept doing the work.
Pray With Faith and Trust Like A Child
I could not go to school straight every day of the week, because I would be working on the farm some days to earn money. I would usually get up around five in the morning and go to the well to get water and take a bath. Then after having a little breakfast which was usually grits and vegetable soup I would be walking toward the location of the farm. It would take a while to get there walking on those volcanic rocky trails. Finally I would arrive at the farm and start working until lunch time. We would have an hour break and then get back to work again until five in the evening. By the time I would get home I would be too tired, but I needed to go to the well again and get more water for us to use. The storage containers for the water were not much. We could only store enough for daily usage, so we were constantly getting water everyday from the well.
Pray Without Doubt Whether Or Not God Answers Because He Really Does
One day when I was at the farm, I was not doing well at all. The weather temperature that day was over ninety degrees and high humidity. I was in the middle of the sugar cane farm and the plants were newly planted. There were no trees or anything else that was protecting me and the other workers from the heat except for the cloth cover I had over my head and face. I had a terrible migraine that day. It was hard for me to stay home because we were really hurting for money to buy food otherwise we would starve. So I worked on the farm anyway. As I was pulling the weeds and the pain was getting worse, I really started crying and my tears I can still remember dripping on the ground. I needed some relief, but I thought the only justifiable reason to go home was if it would rain, then at least I would not feel guilty for going home to get some rest.
Pray To God Like Talking To A Father Because He Is Our Heavenly Father
As I was having a little discussion to myself, the pain was getting almost unbearable. Then I thought, there’s got to be some answers from above. As I was still crying I looked up to the sky and I cried to God saying,
“Papa Jesus, would you please send some rain?”
Then I put my head back down and kept pulling weeds. There was not a hint of any rain that day, the sky was blue, no clouds around, just the bright sun and the heat I could feel penetrating deep into my skin. Then about five minutes after asking the Lord Jesus to send some rain, all of a sudden the dark clouds started hovering above me. I could see the rain forming and the sky was getting darker. I was relieved to see the rain coming and hurried to get home. Of course I forgot to even thank God right away for answering my plea right then. I was so focused on my pain that all I could think of was to get home and sleep and get relief from the pain in my head.
Pray And Talk To God Always Wherever You Are Because He Is Everywhere
Thank you God, for hearing and answering the prayer of a nine year’s old little girl. Looking back to that event now, I can not help but thank God over and over again, because he was there with me. He has always been with me, even in the midst of my struggles and pain. And even when I questioned Him about my situation, He really knows me and understands. He did His best to show me that He is faithful and loving and full of grace in guiding, and helping me get through those difficult moments in my life. He has always been my friend whom I can talk to when no one else is around and listening. God’s love for me never changes; it is the same then and now.
Pray And Always Trust That God Answers What Is Best For You Because He Love And Cares
And He continues to prove Himself to me and His faithfulness even when I failed Him many times. Many times in our lives, we go through situations that really put us in a position to ask God for help. And even when we see that our situation looks impossible to solve for the human eyes, we need to always remember that God is our greatest source of provision. Yes we tend to find solutions for our problems on our own, but until we put our trust and faith in God we will always be going around in a circle and never arrive at the right solution to our problems. God is really close to us, He is everywhere and all the time listening to our pleas. And God, in His sovereign power, answers us at the right time He intended for us to receive our answers.
Pray And Know That Even When You Don’t See An Answer Right Away, God Has His Own Timing
We sometimes question His timing, but always know that His timing is perfect and it is the best for us. I may be a grown woman now, but I still approach God the way I did as a child. I am so blessed to be one of His and whom He never forsakes during my hardest moments in life. What about you? How do you approach God? Always remember that God owns everything and when He answers our prayers, it is for His glory. So it is a winning situation for us when we trust the divine provision of God completely!
