It Is Not Over Until God Says So
IT IS NOT OVER UNTIL GOD SAYS SO. Looking back at the events in my life, my stories of how God had pulled me out of the deep water many times, I can not help but think of this experience. This story has deepened and strengthened my faith and trust in God even more. I know He is real, and I know He is with us all the time, but this experience makes it very clear. No more questions, no more doubt!
During this experience I pretty much know that it was God and no one else could get praise and honor for His saving grace He performed to save me and my aunt. When I was eighteen years old, I had given my life to the Lord Jesus. I accepted His gift of salvation and His sacrifice on the cross. I believed everything about Him and why He came to this earth. I developed a very strong love for Him.
About this time I also understand my calling. The ministry began for me to share my testimonies and teach the Word of God to the little children and adults. I realized that with the tasks being entrusted to me I will also be a threat and enemy to the devil against his schemes and agenda of stealing, destroying and killing lives in so many different ways. And because of this reason the enemy is upset with me and will do anything he can to get rid of me from his path of destruction. In this experience, God pulled me out from the deep water with my aunt.
One day we decided to go for a swim at a nearby sea. It was me, my aunt and her husband who were together most of the time as we were working for the Lord. My uncle is an expert swimmer and not afraid to swim into the deep water. So once we were at sea my uncle started swimming and went farther and farther away from us into the deeper section of the sea. Since my aunt and I are not good swimmers we tried to stay just as close to the shore as possible. The tide was really high that day, but it was a beautiful day to go swimming.
So I started jumping into the water for a swim. And it was not long once I got into the water when I realized that the current was very strong. I started swimming back toward the shore. But the current was just too strong. Instead of me swimming closer to the shore where my aunt was standing I got carried away by the current farther away from the shore. I kept fighting against the current until I could get closer to the shore to where my aunt was.
As soon as I got to the edge of the steps where my aunt was standing, she extended her arm toward me and tried to pull me out of the water. But as soon as I reached for her hand, the current in the water pulled me again into the deep. My aunt got a grip on my hand and did not turn me loose. As she struggled to pull me out, the current of the water pulled me and her together into the deep.
There we were both fighting for our precious lives. My aunt could not keep holding my hand anymore, she was struggling to swim. She let go of my hand and was fighting to swim back to the shore. I could see her fighting against the current. The more we fought the more we were pulled away deeper into the bottom of the sea. My aunt was losing strength after a while of fighting, she was drowning.
My thought was that we would both die then. It was the end for us. In my mind as I was watching my aunt drowning I started saying hallelujah, we were going home! Instead of having fear that we would lose our lives, I actually had the courage to praise God with excitement that we would be going home to heaven with God. In a way it was like I was giving up fighting against the current of the sea.
But then a soft whisper in my mind was telling me to keep trying and swim and kick the water. So I started kicking and jumping up and down in the water until my hands could be seen just a little above the water. As I kept doing it, a few minutes later my uncle came and started pulling us out of the water. He was joggling my aunt and me back and forth and pushing us both to get to the shore. He got me out of the water first and then my aunt.
Praise God after a few minutes of struggle he finally got us completely out of the water. My aunt had swallowed a lot of water and she was not doing well at all. While my aunt was recovering and was spewing out the water she had swallowed, I could not help but laugh and was praising God. I praised God for saving us, and I also praised God for defeating the enemy again. The devil was so mad and wanted to take our lives then, but God was not finished with us. God still has work for us to do.
What the enemy does not understand is that he can do his best to take us away from this earth, from fulfilling the calling and purpose of God in our lives. But dead or alive if we have the Lord Jesus in our lives and have accepted Him into our hearts, we will forever belong to God. There should not be a place in our lives for fear of dying. This earth is passing away and everything in it, but if we have believed and have surrendered our lives to the Lord Jesus, we have eternal life and heaven waiting for us.
If we put our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus, there is nothing in this world that can overwhelm us with fear.

Until God is ready for us, to take us home in heaven, we will keep on doing the best we can and do what God has called us to do. No matter how strong the current in our situation is in this life, we must not give up hope. God is with us and He will help us through.
After that experience I asked my uncle what led him to where we were at. His answer was that, while he was swimming away from us he heard the voice of a man calling him. His first reaction was who could it be? There was no other man there with us except him. So he turned around to check who it was, but he could not see a man anywhere else close by. As he was searching who could call his name, he had spotted at the distance hands going up and down not far from the shore. He also noticed that my aunt and I were not on the shore.
Right away he realized that my aunt and I were in the water and had the gut feeling that we were in trouble. He swam fast back toward the shore and then found my aunt and me drowning in the water. God used him to save us. You see that experience just proves more clearly for me that God is real. He is not only real, but also cares for us and watches over us. And even though sometimes we mess up, He still cares and loves us.
When He said in His Word that He will never leave us nor forsake us, we need to really believe it, because it is true. Put your trust in the saving grace of the Lord Jesus and I guarantee you He will never fail you. You can depend on Him to come and rescue you in your time of trouble and needs. This life will always have its problems, storms, and attacks from the enemy. But, if we put our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus, there is nothing in this world that can overwhelm us with fear.
We can be confident that every time we face any situation and problems God will be with us even to the end of this age (Matthew 28:20). Just remember it is not over, until God says it is over.
