What Will I Read? →
The joy of God’s promises is available to all of us. We just need to read it His Word in the Bible. There is an absolute joy knowing that God is faithful and He will fulfill all His promises. We need to only trust Him completely.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”
(James 1:17)
God’s Promises is Truth
There is something special about the Word of God that we can trust. First of all, it never changes. Second, it will accomplish every promise that God has for us. And because of these truths, we can rejoice knowing that as we continue to walk with God, His promises become more evident in our lives. I love how looking back at my past experiences, how many answered prayers God has given me. It will definitely take a lifetime to write all of the good things and what God has done for me and my family and all of those that I came to know and have received the gift of God for them.
I would say that God is really an amazing God. The times when I was in danger God delivered me from the snares of the enemy. If you don’t know God personally in your heart, you are really missing out the great joy of knowing Him. There are few truths that I want to share from God’s Word and why everyone should really give God a chance to make Himself known in a most personal and special way.
God Is Faithful In His Promises
Christ Jesus will most certainly carry out both His promises to us and His warnings. Divine faithfulness is a comfort for those who remain loyal and a solemn warning for those who depart from the faith. God must remain faithful to His Word. In the book of 2 Timothy 2:13 KJV says: “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny Himself.” So whether we believe Him or not, it doesn’t change any of the truths in God’s Word. God will remain faithful to His promises. How about you friend, do you know this truth and believe it? I hold this truth very close to my heart, because I know it’s true.
In the book of Deuteronomy 7:9 KJV says: “Know therefore that the Lord thy God, He is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations.” God promised to faithfully keep His covenant and show mercy to generation after generation of “those who keep His commands”. Not only was God’s love contingent on this response of love and obedience, but also their prosperity, good health and military success.
God’s Promises Never Change
God never changes as He said in His Word (Malachi 3:6 KJV- “For I am the LORD, I change not”). Men can change and change their beliefs and minds a lot, but God never changes. What He says in His Word He will do and fulfill. There is a question asked in the Book of Romans 3:3-4 KJV – “For what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?” In other words, even if people do not believe God and His Word, it does not nullify the faithfulness of God.
God will remain faithful to His promises. And because of this fact we don’t even need to defend the Word of God just to accommodate people’s beliefs. God will do exactly what He says He will do in His Word. People who abide in it will see the fulfillment of every Word of God. Those who do not believe and accept will also face the consequences there is. God will always be true to His Word, because he cannot lie, He is faithful.
God Fulfills His Promises
We can be confident that God will keep His promise and do what He says He will do. There are so many prophecies in the Bible that have already been fulfilled. There are so many individual answered prayers as well including mine. When we ask something from God and it is aligned in His Word, He will definitely answer us.
A lot of times when we pray we ask for something that is out of the will of God for us. Therefore a lot of us are frustrated because our prayers have not been answered the way we want. God in His mercy does answer us in such a way that He will choose to do good and what is best for us. Some of our requests to God take years to get answered because God has to get us to understand first what His will really is for us. Not until we understand completely what He says in His Word that we become aware that God is actually working out every detail in our lives for our own good.
In the Book of Philippians 1:6 KJV says: “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” As we choose to follow Christ and do God’s will, we can be confident that everything God promises to do will be accomplished through us. Paul’s confidence in the Philippians is based on God’s good work in them that includes their zeal and sacrifice for the faith, and on God’s faithfulness to complete what He has begun.
God’s Promises Is His Will For Us
Verse 13 in the same chapter of Philippians says: “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” God’s grace works in His children to produce in them both the desire and power to do His will. However, God’s work is not one of compulsion or irresistible grace. The work of grace within us is always dependent on our cooperation and response of faith.
Based on the truths mentioned in the Word of God, we can definitely rejoice and be confident that God is faithful and He will fulfill His promises in our lives as we obey and put our complete trust in Him. God has been so good to me through trials and testing. He keeps on showing me His faithfulness in every circumstance, and helping me through life. I will never doubt that God will always be faithful, because He really is.
