How to grow closer to God? Jesus taught, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). Following the teachings of Jesus Christ shows our love for Him and our desire to be near Him. His gospel is the way to achieve true happiness and peace in both this life and the next.
To grow is to keep the commandments of God
If we strive to live a good life and repent whenever we fall short, we’ll feel closer to Him and feel His love for us. Do you love The Lord Jesus Christ? Have you received Him into your heart? Are you following His teachings in the Bible? Be blessed everyone, God loves you.
Friends, I do not know what you are going through right now. It could be a really hard situation. But just know that when you ask God for help He is always there with you working out the details and will answer your prayers. It may not be exactly the way you want it to be, but it will be the best. God is good!
I have been disappointed many times, some things planned didn’t exactly turn out the way we’d like it to be. Sickness in the family came, and the list could go on. Analyzing what could have gone wrong and asked many questions, I came to this conclusion “God is powerful and He knows best”!
To grow is to trust the LORD JESUS CHRIST
Walking and talking to God in every situation, does help me feel confident in Him that no matter how disappointed and hard the situation gets, God always knows best. All I have to do is to keep relying on the promises of God in His Word and trust the LORD JESUS CHRIST. I encourage you to let go and let God handle your every situation.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”
(Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV).
Isaiah 41:10“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Throughout my life, one thing I know for sure is that without God I would not be here anymore testifying to His goodness and faithfulness in my life. He has always been with me giving me strength in every circumstance. He is my Rock, my Fortress, my very present help in times of need.
To grow is to know and feel the love of God
God’s presence is more than enough to let me know that I am loved and cared for. How about you? Have you ever acknowledged the presence of God in your life? Or are you relying on your self alone, that when the storm comes you are easily destroyed and lost in the waves of trials and tribulations in this life? Get ahold of God through His Son the Lord Jesus for He is faithful to save you.
Do you feel alone? Do you feel unloved? Do you feel neglected? Do you feel that no one cares? Open your heart and spiritual eyes and see how deep and wide the love of GOD for you really is. You see how deep and wide the ocean, GOD’S love is even more than that. You are literally and spirituality wrapped by the amazing love of GOD.
To grow is to accept the love of God through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ
The LORD JESUS CHRIST came and demonstrated the perfect love of GOD for you and me through His sacrificial death on the cross. He did so to give you and I an access and have a personal relationship with GOD the FATHER. GOD is omnipresent, meaning He is present everywhere at the same time. His presence allows for each one of us to never be alone, unloved and neglected. He is our HEAVENLY FATHER who cares for each of us and our needs.
Accepting the LORD JESUS CHRIST into your heart gives you an access to have a personal relationship and sweet fellowship with GOD the FATHER. Accepting the LORD JESUS CHRIST into my heart is the most important and the best thing I ever did in my life. I once felt alone, unloved, neglected and thought no one cares, but when I made the decision of accepting the LORD JESUS CHRIST into my heart and have a personal relationship with Him, everything changed.
To grow is to make the Lord Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior
